300 - I bet most of you think that sounds like an unusual movie. Well, I have to admit so did I until I saw the trailer. Man! It is one of the most amazing trailers ever! Mind blowing to say the least! It seems like a really cool movie.

The film, directed by Zack Snyder, is an adaptation of Frank Miller's graphic book. It is set in the midst of the Persian-Greco war during the battle of Thermoplyae where Spartan king, Leonidas, led his army of 300 soldiers into battle against Xerxes and his invading Persian army. The spartans had to overcome numerous obstacles in an attempt to claim victory over their adversaries. Their immense determination, valour and sacrifice inspires all of Greece to unite against the Persians and this ultimately, lays the foundation for the idea of a democracy. This is all we know of the movie so far, so the only thing we can do, is sit and wait for it's much anticipated release in September, 2007. *Sigh* yes, we have a long way to go. I suppose I'll have to catch it in a US cinema. Hope it lives up to our expectations!
